Seoul, South Korea – Gravity, a functional hair care brand developed by Polyphenol Factory, a startup founded by Kaist chemistry professor Lee Hae-shin, has achieved remarkable success on Lotte Home Shopping. The anti-hair loss shampoo has sold out four consecutive times, generating a cumulative order value of 32 billion won.

Launched exclusively on Lotte Home Shopping in September last year, Gravity quickly gained popularity for its clinically proven hair loss reduction benefits. The product's patented ingredient, LiftMax 308, forms a protective layer on the hair, enhancing volume.

The initial broadcast sold over 20,000 bottles, setting the stage for its continued success. Subsequent broadcasts also sold out, making Gravity the top-selling shampoo on Lotte Home Shopping in 2023.

The most recent broadcast on "Choi Yura Show" on January 23rd saw an even more impressive performance, with over 600 bottles sold per minute. The 40-minute broadcast generated 8.5 billion won in orders.

In total, 100,000 bottles have been sold across the four broadcasts, accumulating a total sales value of 32 billion won. Since its domestic launch in April last year, Gravity has sold over 430,000 bottles, including a complete sell-out within 109 hours of its initial release.

The shampoo gained further international recognition at CES 2025, where the patented LiftMax ingredient was showcased.

Encouraged by this success, Lotte Home Shopping and Polyphenol Factory are now exploring opportunities to expand Gravity's reach into overseas markets.
