Paraguayan National Police responded to a report of two lifeless men found inside a residence in Luque. The case is now under investigation by the Department of Investigations.
Officers from the 52nd Ñu Guazú Police Station were dispatched to a home located at the intersection of Laureles and Guyra Campana streets in the Molino neighborhood of Luque. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies amidst a state of disarray within the house.
The deceased have been identified as Ricardo Darío Redes Román, 41, and Rubén Antonio Torres, 57, according to authorities.
A preliminary medical examination indicated that there were no visible signs of violence on the bodies. As a result, the cause of death remains undetermined at this time. An autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding their deaths. Drug overdose has been ruled out, and a heart attack is being considered as a possible cause.
In addition to the medical investigation, the Prosecutor's Office will be conducting inquiries into the victims' surroundings and seeking surveillance footage from the area to gather clues about the events leading up to their deaths.
Meanwhile, police have apprehended Jesús Rafael Cáceres Talavera, 41, the driver of the vehicle in which two other detainees, identified as Silvia Inés López Cáceres, 41, and a 17-year-old minor, arrived. A cellphone and a motor vehicle were seized from the suspects. These individuals are believed to have stolen items from the residence.
