Holding the Tourism Startup Scale-up IR Pitching Day on November 6
Laying the groundwork for investment through business meetups between local tourism companies and private venture capital firms
The Jeonbuk State Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Baek Ok-sun, hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") held its inaugural "Tourism Startup Scale-up IR Pitching Day" (hereinafter "IR Pitching Day") on November 6 to support local tourism enterprises in attracting investment.

IR (Investor Relations) is an activity where a company explains its business status and growth potential to investors. This event served as a platform for local tourism companies and private investment firms to directly meet, introduce their business models, and discuss investment potential.

The selected participants comprised 10 companies chosen through an evaluation of the 2026 Jeonbuk Tourism Business Support Center open contest applicants, based on criteria such as business model competitiveness, marketability, potential for investment attraction, and contribution to the Jeonbuk tourism industry and regional economy.

These companies refined their business models and investment proposals and prepared for investment presentations through one-on-one consultations with professional consultants and individual IR capability-building programs.

Three private investment firms, including MYSC (MY Social Company) and Trigger Investment Partners, participated in the event to conduct business consultations and exchange feedback with the tourism companies.

The participating enterprises showcased a diverse range of business models combining tourism, culture, and technology, including cultural tourism program planning, gugak-based performances, IT-based travel platforms, digital identity verification, and prepaid mobile payment services. They then presented their growth strategies to the investors and discussed market expansion and future investment prospects.

Notably, this program is significant in that it goes beyond one-time commercialization funding. By structuring a step-by-step process from capacity building to investor linkage, it enables companies to secure their own investment foundation and achieve sustainable growth.

Furthermore, the Foundation plans to continuously support networking between local tourism companies and private investors moving forward, broadening investment opportunities for tourism companies and enabling domestic and international investors to discover promising regional businesses.

A representative from a participating company stated, "Through professional consulting, we were able to flesh out our business models and investment proposal contents, and directly explain our growth potential to investors. We hope this meeting leads to follow-up consultations and investment attraction, serving as a stepping stone to expand our business."

CEO Baek Ok-sun remarked, "This event is the first investment-linking program prepared by the Center to enhance the self-sufficiency of local tourism companies. I hope that the participating companies gain recognition for their growth potential from investors and that the Jeonbuk tourism industry takes a leap forward."

Meanwhile, this event was held in conjunction with the "Tourism Startup Scale-up IR" investment program of the "2026 Startup Jeonbuk Startup Grand Festival."
