Provincial Government Holds Appointment Ceremony… Expectations High for Regional Industrial Innovation Driven by Expertise and Experience

On the 22nd, Chungnam Province held an appointment ceremony in the provincial office reception room, attended by Governor Park Soo-hyun and Kim Hyun-tae, the newly appointed 13th President of Chungnam Technopark.

The newly appointed President Kim's term is for two years, running until October 21, 2028. Following the appointment ceremony, he held an inauguration ceremony at the Chungnam Technopark auditorium and officially began his duties.

President Kim majored in economics at Korea University and has served as the Vice Chairman of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), President of Sejong Technopark, and a professor at The Catholic University of Korea. Through these roles, he has built extensive expertise and experience in SME policies, corporate support, and regional industry promotion.

The province expects that, based on his deep understanding of SME policies and corporate fields, as well as his experience in operating a technopark, President Kim will strengthen Chungnam Technopark's policy planning and project execution capabilities, and lead the industrial transformation of Chungnam as the capital of artificial intelligence (AI).

At the appointment ceremony, Governor Park Soo-hyun stated, "As Chungnam leads South Korea's industrial development centered on cutting-edge industries such as semiconductors, displays, and mobility, the role of Chungnam Technopark in supporting industrial innovation and corporate growth is crucial." He added, "Drawing upon your rich experience and expertise, please listen closely to the voices of the corporate field and strive to secure future growth engines for Chungnam, including the transition to the AI industry and the discovery and attraction of national projects."

President Kim stated, "I will work to ensure that Chungnam Technopark solidifies its position as a core institution leading the growth of local enterprises and industrial innovation." He added, "I will do my utmost to enhance Chungnam's industrial competitiveness through demand-based, effective support for enterprises and the discovery of new projects aligned with government policies."
