Prime Minister Han Seong-sook stated on the 3rd, National Foundation Day, "We must expand the breadth of empathy and solidarity through the power of high culture, share each other's experiences, technologies, and cultural capacities in the face of common challenges confronting humanity, and take the lead in holding hands together."

In a congratulatory address at the National Foundation Day ceremony held at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Jongno-gu, Seoul, this morning, Prime Minister Han said, "That is the way to practice the spirit of 'Hongik Ingan Jaese-ihwa' (broadly benefiting humanity and governing the world with ideals), which has been passed down through our history and culture for a long time, in today's era."

Prime Minister Han remarked, "The world is currently in the midst of the fastest and most extensive changes in history," and promised, "The National Democratic Government will steadily realize an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Basic Society' to ensure that this change becomes a force that leaves no one behind and benefits everyone."

She added, "To ensure that citizens can feel the fruits of this in their daily lives, we will focus more on improving people's livelihoods, including housing stability, jobs, and microfinance," and noted, "We will connect these visions and values to the wider world through the power of culture."

Attending the ceremony were firefighter Park Kyung-soo, who rescued neighbors in Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province, where heavy rain damage occurred, and nurse Jung Eun-ah, who saved a citizen who collapsed from cardiac arrest.

Calling out their names, Prime Minister Han expressed her gratitude, saying, "They are persons of righteousness who have personally practiced the spirit of Hongik Ingan."
