"Geumbyeokjeong Pungryu Oh My God Party" held on October 24–25

Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Mayor Cho Sang-ho) announced that it will host the "Geumbyeokjeong Pungryu Oh My God Party" for two days, from October 24 to 25, between 1 PM and 7 PM around Geumbyeokjeong in Geumam-ri, Janggun-myeon.

This event is part of the "2026 Chungcheong Confucian Culture Zone Tourism Promotion Project," organized by the city and the Sejong City Foundation for Arts and Culture. It is designed to reinterpret Confucian culture in a modern way and connect the natural scenery of the Geumgang River with local cultural resources, allowing visitors to enjoy relaxation and experiences.

The event features various performances by local artists, including performances by Geumam 2-ri residents, fusion gugak (traditional Korean music), band performances, and magic shows. It also includes "Scholar Pungryu Meditation," where visitors can experience calligraphy and traditional folk games, and the "Pungryu Market," offering a diverse array of street food and traditional liquors.

In addition, a variety of programs will be held, such as an Oulring bicycle tour and barefoot walking on the sandy beach along the Geumgang River.

Namgoong Ho, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, said, "We have prepared this event so that visitors can enjoy both traditional culture and modern performances amidst the beautiful natural scenery of Geumbyeokjeong. We hope families and friends will visit during the autumn weekend to enjoy a leisurely and elegant time."

Meanwhile, the city expects that this event will raise awareness of the historical and cultural value of Geumbyeokjeong and revitalize tourism in the Chungcheong Confucian Culture Zone together with local residents.
