Pokhara, Nepal – The four-day Pokhara Skydive event, organized by Everest Skydive, Nepal's premier solo skydiving company, has concluded successfully. The highlight of this year's event was Sujeeta Shahi's solo jump from 13,000 feet, making her the first Nepali woman to achieve this feat.

Anuj Pandey, the executive director of Everest Skydive, said, "Following the successful Everest Skydive 2024, the 17th edition of the Pokhara Skydive has also concluded safely. This year's highlight was Sujeeta Shahi's solo jump. With this unique achievement, she has set a new benchmark for young Nepali adventurers."

Held annually, the Pokhara Skydive involves jumping from a height of 13,000 feet from a Fishtail Air B3/B2 AS 350 helicopter. This year, Captain Francois Favart and pilot Andrew operated the helicopter, both veterans with extensive experience in this field.

Everest Skydive, in collaboration with Explore Himalaya Travel & Adventure, offers the Pokhara Skydive at the Pame drop zone, 11 kilometers north of Phewa Lake, every autumn (November). The serene valleys and majestic Himalayas of Pokhara provide a breathtaking backdrop for the jumps. Thanks to this stunning scenery, the annual event has garnered a dedicated following, with jump requests increasing every year.

The four-day event saw the participation of solo and tandem jumpers from all walks of life. According to Pandey, as always, an international team of experienced skydivers (Paul Henry Alexandre de Baer, Wendy Smith, Nadezhda Solovieva, Omar Alhegelan, Fedor Pankov, Peter Svalo, Jean Philippe, Rikke Nielsen, Anders Hansen, Dylan Pruett, and Tyler Steele) provided support.

Everest Skydive stated in a press release, "The event concluded safely with the last jump on November 24. Thanks to the excellent leadership of Anuj Pandey, executive director of Everest Skydive, and the logistics management of Bharat Puri and Manoj Tapa, the adventure was a resounding success. The thrilling adventure is set to return in autumn 2025, supported by Fishtail Air, Govibes, and Aloft Hotel."
