Chungcheongnam-do Province announced its participation in the ‘K-Festival & Travel Show 2025,’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan for four days from May 15th to 18th. The province is operating a Chungnam tourism promotion booth to highlight the region's attractions and cultural richness.
This event stands as the largest tourism and festival exhibition in South Korea, drawing participation from 150 organizations, groups, and companies nationwide, who are operating over 300 booths.
Chungcheongnam-do has joined forces with Nonsan and Dangjin cities to establish a joint promotion booth. The booth prominently features the province's flagship festivals, including the Baekje Cultural Festival, Boryeong Mud Festival, Geumsan Ginseng Festival, Cheonan K-Culture Expo, and Hansan Mosi (Ramie Fabric) Cultural Festival, aiming to captivate attendees with the vibrant cultural heritage of the region.
Visitors to the Chungnam booth can immerse themselves in the scenic beauty of Nonsan's key tourist spots through a virtual reality (VR) experience. Additionally, the booth offers hands-on activities such as sampling Dangjin's traditional rice wine, Dogyunju, and crafting Baekje-era golden crowns, providing a sensory experience of Chungnam's distinctive flavors and artistic traditions.
Furthermore, Chungcheongnam-do is showcasing unique local content from its various cities and counties. This includes the spectacular Sapkkyo Lake Drone Light Show from Dangjin and the renowned Ganggyeong Fermented Seafood Festival from Nonsan, promising to draw the attention and footsteps of a diverse audience.
A representative from the provincial government stated, "We have prepared experiential content to ensure that visitors can grasp the allure of Chungnam's representative festivals at a glance. Throughout the event, we will actively promote Chungnam's tourism resources to attract even more tourists in line with the '2025-2026 Visit Chungnam Year.'"
