A Conversation with a Young Man from Toulouse

French tourists coming to Korea used to mostly be from Paris. But now, they travel from various cities like Lyon and Toulouse. The young man who visited Haeundae Cherry Garden today came from Toulouse in southern France. He and a young man from Paris are friends. This young man couldn't eat spicy food. We talked about the recent events in France and our political leaders. Politicians are a problem everywhere in the global village.

Toulouse is a city famous for Airbus, the global aerospace industry. It has many universities and a large young population. There are many historical buildings, and the city is very beautiful. The city's nickname is the "Pink City." I'm even more interested in it because my son got a job at Airbus. It is located about a seven-hour drive from Paris and is known as an attractive and great place to live.

If I were to live in France, I think I would live in Toulouse. I still wonder why they named a world-class aerospace company "Airbus." People keep thinking it's a bus company. When I said, "My son got a job at Airbus in France," my acquaintances found it fascinating. Many people asked, "Why on earth did Cherry's son get a job at a bus company after even studying abroad in Britain?"
