Taipei, Taiwan – E.SUN Financial Holding Co., Ltd. (E.SUN FHC) announced the publication of its "2023 Climate and Nature Report," marking a significant milestone as the first company in Taiwan to receive third-party verification for its disclosures under the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework.

The report, assessed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), achieved the highest grade of "Level 5: Excellence" for TNFD conformity and "Level 5+: Excellence" for climate-related financial disclosures (TCFD), demonstrating E.SUN's strong commitment to sustainability.

E.SUN, an early adopter of the TNFD framework, integrated the LEAP assessment approach, analyzing over 35,000 domestic corporate operation sites and 120,000 mortgage collateral locations. The report incorporates localized data and utilizes nature scenario analysis to assess the impacts of biodiversity loss and water stress on its investment and financing portfolio.

"A good ESG strategy is fundamentally a good business strategy," emphasized Joseph N.C. Huang, Chairman of E.SUN FHC. "We are committed to mitigating our impact on nature and achieving 'Nature Positive' alongside our net-zero emissions goal by 2050."

E.SUN's efforts extend beyond reporting. The company actively supports sustainable initiatives such as the "Leopard Cat Loan Project" to encourage sustainable agricultural practices. Furthermore, E.SUN has pledged to uphold biodiversity and refrain from deforestation through collaborations with other leading companies.

By integrating sustainability into its core business operations and driving collaborative action, E.SUN FHC aims to lead the transition towards a more sustainable and nature-positive future for Taiwan.
