Dar es Salaam - The China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Tanzania Branch has released its inaugural "Belt and Road Initiative & ESG Sustainable Development Report" and a groundbreaking comparative study on Chinese and European steel construction standards.

The reports underscore the company's commitment to sustainable development and align its projects with the principles of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The comparative study, conducted in collaboration with the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), analyzed the differences between Chinese and British standards in steel structure design and construction.

The findings demonstrate that Chinese standards (GB) ensure sufficient capacity and meet local requirements in Tanzania.

CCCC Tanzania General Manager LI Xuecai emphasized the study's significance in fostering international engineering cooperation. By identifying areas for harmonization, the company aims to enhance the technical and sustainable aspects of its projects.

The reports highlight the branch's dedication to ESG principles, including localization, innovation, and experience sharing. CCCC Tanzania aims to promote the global adoption of Chinese standards while leveraging international expertise to create beneficial projects for Tanzania's economic and social development.

The company also emphasizes its commitment to improving local livelihoods and fostering closer ties between Chinese and Tanzanian communities.
