Wanted Lab and Sookmyung Women's University Partner to Cultivate AI-Ready Talent

SEOUL — Wanted Lab, a leading AI-based HR tech company, has announced a strategic partnership with Sookmyung Women’s University to bridge the gap between academia and the rapidly evolving AI industry. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 5, 2026, at the Sookmyung campus in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, aimed at fostering "practical AI talent" capable of immediate integration into the workforce.

Bridging the Gap: Industry Expertise Meets Academic Infrastructure
The collaboration centers on merging Wanted Lab’s extensive AI Transformation (AX) business expertise with the career support infrastructure of Sookmyung’s University Job Plus Center. As industries shift toward AI-centric operations, the demand for graduates who possess more than just theoretical knowledge is at an all-time high.

According to the agreement, the partnership will focus on four primary pillars:

-Joint Program Development: Co-designing and operating AI-based practical education curricula.
-Competency Training: Enhancing students' ability to utilize AI tools in real-world business scenarios.
-Career Integration: Developing employment-linked programs and specialized career support services.
-Academic-Industrial Projects: Promoting collaborative projects that allow students to solve actual corporate challenges.

Empowering the Next Generation of Female Leaders
The initiative is particularly significant as it focuses on empowering female students to lead in the tech sector. Wanted Lab plans to provide systematic support so that students can acquire "work-ready" AI competencies, moving beyond basic coding to sophisticated AI application and data-driven decision-making.

"We are delighted to partner with Sookmyung Women's University, an institution that has consistently led the way in educational innovation," said Lee Bok-kee, CEO of Wanted Lab. "By combining our AX capabilities with the university's academic excellence, we aim to produce top-tier talent who are not just familiar with AI, but are ready to drive innovation in the workplace from day one."

A Vision for AI Transformation (AX)
Wanted Lab has been a frontrunner in the South Korean HR market, utilizing its proprietary AI algorithms to match candidates with optimal career opportunities. This partnership marks a significant step in their broader mission to lead the "AI Transformation" of the labor market.

For Sookmyung Women’s University, the move aligns with its vision of modernizing higher education to meet the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Under the leadership of President Moon Si-yeon, the university has been proactive in expanding its career support networks and integrating digital literacy across all disciplines.

Looking Ahead
As the 2026 academic year kicks off, the partnership is expected to launch its first series of workshops and credit-bearing courses. The goal is to create a sustainable model where the university becomes a talent hub for the tech industry, and Wanted Lab gains access to a pipeline of highly skilled, AI-literate professionals.
