The allure of the Panama Canal, a marvel of human ingenuity, continues to captivate travelers worldwide. Holland America Line has just announced its 2026-2027 Panama Canal cruise seasons, offering a spectacular array of voyages that blend historical significance with breathtaking natural beauty.

With bookings now open, travelers can embark on journeys ranging from 14 to 28 days, sailing aboard six of the line’s elegant ships. These cruises, departing from five convenient North American ports, promise an unforgettable experience traversing one of the world’s most iconic waterways.

For those eager to witness the Panama Canal’s intricate lock system firsthand, Holland America Line is offering 12 distinct voyages, ranging from 14 to 21 days. The Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Zuiderdam will navigate these historic waters, departing from or concluding in Vancouver, Seattle, San Diego, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.

"It’s easy to understand why the Panama Canal—one of the engineering wonders of the modern world—is on the top of so many of our guests’ bucket lists," said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment, revenue planning and analytics for Holland America Line. Each cruise provides a front-row seat to the canal’s fascinating operation, with locomotives guiding the ships through the locks.

These itineraries offer more than just a transit; they include captivating ports of call throughout North and Latin America. A standout is the 21-day voyage from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam, which features stops in 11 ports across eight countries. Highlights include the UNESCO World Heritage site, Joya de Ceren Archaeological Site in El Salvador, and a visit to Holland America Line’s private island, Half Moon Cay in The Bahamas.

Adding to the excitement, select cruises will mark Holland America Line’s return to Acapulco, Mexico, after nearly 15 years. This historic city, with its stunning beaches and rich cultural heritage, promises an enriching experience for all who visit.

To enhance these once-in-a-lifetime journeys, Holland America Line is offering enticing early booking perks. Guests who opt for the “Have It All” premium package will enjoy standard amenities like shore excursions, specialty dining, and beverage packages, along with complimentary prepaid crew appreciation, upgrades to the Elite Beverage Package, and Premium Wi-Fi. Mariner Society loyalty members can also earn up to $400 in onboard credit per stateroom by booking within 90 days of the itinerary’s launch.

Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time cruiser, Holland America Line’s 2026-2027 Panama Canal cruises offer a unique opportunity to explore the world’s wonders in unparalleled comfort and style. Don’t miss your chance to embark on this extraordinary adventure.
