Costa Rica - Just over a year after its successful launch in Costa Rica in July 2024, Dunkin' is significantly accelerating its expansion across the coffee-loving nation. The company has announced ambitious plans to open eight new restaurants by the end of 2025, strategically targeting key areas within the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) and venturing beyond.

The new locations will bring Dunkin’s signature coffee, baked goods, and innovative beverages to more consumers in Alajuela, Heredia, Moravia, Sabana, and Lindora. This expansion builds upon the brand's existing eight stores, demonstrating the strong reception and high demand for its offerings among Costa Ricans.

“The reception in Costa Rica has exceeded our expectations, inspiring us to expand further and connect more closely with our customers,” stated Miguel Ramirez, COO of AR Holdings, the franchise operator for Dunkin’ in Costa Rica. “By 2025, we aim to open eight new locations within the GAM while taking our first steps to reach communities outside this bustling urban hub.”

A key element of Dunkin’s strategy in Costa Rica is its commitment to catering to local tastes. The menu proudly features 100% Costa Rican coffee, a testament to the country's rich coffee heritage. Furthermore, Dunkin’ has introduced popular local flavors through innovative menu items like the Coolattas de Churchill and Horchata, successfully blending its global brand with Costa Rican culinary traditions.

Dunkin’ differentiates itself with a versatile menu appealing to customers throughout the day. Alongside its classic donuts, the brand offers a wide array of freshly baked goods and made-to-order drinks, including a variety of iced coffees, slushes, and refreshing options such as strawberry-pitahaya and mango-pineapple blends.

To further enhance customer loyalty, Dunkin’ offers the Spice Up Rewards program, providing cashback of 3% to 10% on purchases, which can be redeemed at any time. Customers can access Dunkin’s offerings at all its locations, through the Uber Eats delivery platform, and at the 24/7 kiosk located in Avenida Escazú, underscoring the brand's growing accessibility within Costa Rica.

This significant expansion by 2025 aims to solidify Dunkin’s position as a major player in Costa Rica’s competitive coffee and bakery market, providing even more opportunities for consumers to enjoy its iconic and locally-inspired menu.
