From colorful events to special souvenirs at C-Square in Cheongju’s old downtown!

The Chungbuk Culture Foundation (CEO Kim Kyung-shik) is hosting the "C-TOUR BUS: CONNECT CHUNGCHEONG" popup from October 16 to December 26 at "C-Square," a tourist information center located in Seong-an-gil, the historic downtown area of Cheongju. This popup was designed to promote the C-Tour Bus—which connects major transportation hubs and tourist destinations in the Chungcheong region with Cheongju International Airport at its center—while offering visitors diverse tourism information and experiential opportunities.

In particular, building upon the existing wide-area circular route (Cheongju International Airport - Osong Station (KTX) - Gongju Intercity Bus Terminal - Buyeo Intercity Bus Terminal), the popup plans to introduce the newly connected route scheduled to open this November (Cheongju International Airport - Jecheon (Cheongpung) - Danyang Intercity Bus Terminal). This highlights the role of the C-Tour Bus in expanding the Chungcheong region's tourism transportation network and enhancing travel convenience for tourists.

The popup venue is organized into several zones: ▲ the C-Tour Bus Promotion Zone, ▲ the Illustration Storytelling Exhibition Zone, ▲ a Photo Zone, and ▲ a Participatory Event Space. First, the Promotion Zone introduces the C-Tour Bus operation routes, timetables, and reservation methods, while providing multilingual guide materials to enhance travel convenience for both domestic and foreign visitors.

The Illustration Storytelling Exhibition Zone features artwork by local illustrator "Lee Gong," showcasing a C-Tour Bus illustration exhibition space. The Photo Zone has been created so that visitors can experience Chungbuk tourism in an approachable way and leave special memories.

Additionally, a variety of popup events are underway for visitors. These include a souvenir giveaway event for the first 1,000 popup visitors, a lucky draw event verified through receipts from local consumption in Cheongju, and a stopwatch event to hit "10.27 seconds," matching the opening date of the C-Tour Bus wide-area circular route. Event prizes include AirPods, local Onnuri gift certificates, and disposable film cameras, aiming to actively encourage visitor participation.

A representative from the Chungbuk Culture Foundation's Tourism Business TF Team stated, "Through this popup, we aim to deliver C-Tour Bus route information easily and enjoyably, providing an opportunity to directly experience Chungbuk's tourism contents," adding, "We will continue to enhance the accessibility and charm of Chungbuk tourism through diverse promotional activities connecting transportation and tourism."

Meanwhile, detailed information regarding the "C-TOUR BUS: CONNECT CHUNGCHEONG" popup can be found on the Chungbuk Culture Foundation Tourism Business Division's official Instagram account (@visitchungbuk).
