Paraguayan youth are excited to study abroad in Korea

[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  The ‘Study in Korea’ education fair, hosted by the Paraguay Korean Education Center in Korea, was successfully held on October 23rd and 24th at the United University of Asunción’s Tingla.

This fair was held to provide various information to Paraguayan students and parents interested in studying in Korea and to provide an opportunity to experience Korean culture. In particular, three Korean universities participated, and attendees were able to directly consult with Korean university officials, resolve their questions, and obtain specific information about studying in Korea.

At the opening ceremony of the expo, key figures from the Paraguayan government, including Youth Minister Salma Aguiero, Paraguay Ambassador to Korea Yoon Chan-sik, Education Minister Moon Chan-bae, former Deputy Minister of Basic Education Maria Gloria Ferreira, and National Institute for Higher Education Director Claudelina Marin Gibbons attended the event to study abroad in Korea. They emphasized the importance of and strengthened their commitment to strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries.

The fair provided an opportunity to obtain various information related to studying abroad, including detailed information about the GKS Scholarship, a Korean government scholarship, Korean language learning institutions in Paraguay, and the INAES Korean Bachelor's degree program.

Attendees participated in the Korean culture experience program and were able to directly experience Korean traditional culture and hear vivid stories about living in Korea as a student.

This expo served as an opportunity to demonstrate the high interest of Paraguayan youth in studying in Korea. The Paraguay Korean Education Center in Korea plans to continue to operate various programs to support Paraguayan students studying in Korea.
