Chungcheongnam-do Province Operates Tourism Promotional Booth at the 1st Chungnam Seafood Festival from the 9th to the 11th

Chungcheongnam-do Province operated a Chungnam tourism promotional booth in conjunction with the "2026 Chungnam Seafood Festival," held around Chunjangdae Beach in Seocheon-gun from September 9 to 11, introducing major tourism resources and autumn travel content within the province to visitors.

The Chungnam Seafood Festival, held for the first time this year, was organized to promote the excellence of local seafood, encourage consumption, and revitalize the regional economy.

Various programs unfolded at the festival site, including seafood tastings and discounted sales, bare-handed fish catching, seafood auctions and cooking experiences, and promotions of local seafood specialties by city and county.

Considering the characteristics of festival visitors who have a high interest in food and travel, the province organized its promotional booth centered around travel information that allows visitors to enjoy both local gastronomy and tourism.

In particular, the province introduced diverse tourism content—such as autumn tourist attractions, local festivals, food, and hands-on experiences—in Seocheon, the host location, as well as in cities and counties across the province. It also provided tourism maps and promotional materials to guide visitors in exploring various parts of the province alongside the festival.

Additionally, the province held Chungnam tourism surveys and social network service (SNS) subscription events to boost visitor participation and naturally familiarize them with Chungnam tourism information.

Moving forward, the province plans to strengthen on-site promotions utilizing local festivals and major events, and expand tourism marketing by linking local food, festivals, and tourism resources so that visits to events lead to visits to nearby tourist attractions and extended stays.

A provincial official stated, "The inaugural Chungnam Seafood Festival held this year was a great opportunity to promote the province's various tourism charms along with its abundant food. We will continue to organically link festivals, gastronomy, and tourism to strengthen on-site promotions, ensuring that visitors who find their way to the event venues can travel and stay throughout the province."
