KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – SPC Group, a leading South Korean food conglomerate, has officially opened a state-of-the-art, large-scale bakery plant in Johor, Malaysia. This strategic move is designed to accelerate the company's expansion into the lucrative Halal markets of Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The new facility will serve as a key operational hub, positioning SPC Group to actively penetrate the global Halal industry.

The newly constructed plant, which spans 12,900 square meters, boasts an impressive production capacity of up to 300,000 loaves of bread daily, amounting to an annual output of up to 100 million loaves. SPC Group is focused on producing high-quality, Halal-certified bread to meet the growing demand from the two billion Muslim consumers in these regions. The company's flagship brand, Paris Baguette, is at the forefront of this initiative.

Looking ahead, Paris Baguette has ambitious plans to enter 12 countries in the Middle East and Africa by 2033, with a particular focus on key markets like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to solidify a leading position in the global Halal bakery sector and promote the excellence of K-bakery worldwide.

An official from SPC Group commented, "The establishment of this Malaysian bakery plant is a crucial step for our entry into the global Halal market. We are committed to becoming a brand beloved by Muslim consumers globally by offering the highest quality Halal-certified products."

Industry experts anticipate that this bold move by SPC Group will inject new momentum into the globalization of K-food and positively influence the overseas expansion of other South Korean food companies. The investment in Malaysia highlights a significant commitment to catering to diverse consumer needs while strengthening the country's position as a global food innovator. This strategic hub will not only boost production but also serve as a center for innovation and distribution, ensuring a reliable supply chain for the expanding Halal market.
