2nd Physical AI & Robotics Global Strategy Breakfast Forum Held... Discussing Directions for Technological Innovation and Industrialization

Chairman of Jeonbuk State Assembly: "Providing institutional and policy support to foster the Physical AI and robotics industries"

The Jeonbuk Institute of Automotive Technology (JIAT) announced that it held the 2nd "Jeonbuk Physical AI and Robotics Global Strategy Breakfast Forum" at the middle conference room of the Jeonbuk Provincial Government building on October 22 (Thursday).

Following the inaugural forum held on the 8th, this event was organized under the theme of "Jeonbuk’s Physical AI Strategy and Agricultural Robotics Strategy" to discuss development strategies and cooperation plans linked to Jeonbuk's industrial conditions. In particular, it aimed to continue building a "Jeonbuk-centered national network" where industry, academia, research institutes, and government share technology and policies to strengthen global competitiveness and secure technological leadership in the national strategic sectors of Physical AI and robotics.

Attendees included Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Economic Vice Governor Go Jeong-sam, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province State Assembly Chairman Kim Hee-soo, Provincial Assembly Members Kim Dong-gu and Park Soo-hyung, Jeonju City Councilman Kim In-chul, and Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs Park Seung-dae. Academic experts also joined, including KAIST former Vice President Kim Kyung-soo, Jeonbuk National University President Yang Oh-bong, Wonkwang University Executive Vice President Hwang Jin-soo, and Kunsan National University Vice President Joo Jeong-hoon. Representatives from corporations participated as well, including Physical AI, robotics, and data companies such as Hyundai Motor Company, NC AI, Daedong Robotics, Megazone Cloud, CrowdWorks, Sphere AX, and Yujin Robot, alongside food and agricultural robotics companies such as Florigen Robotics, Doo Engineering, TOTE, Farmjoa, TYM, LS Mtron, and AZMO.

During the expert presentations, Jeonbuk National University President Yang Oh-bong spoke on "Jeonbuk State's Physical AI Strategy," and Daedong Robotics CEO Na Young-joong presented on "Agricultural Robotics Strategy." This was followed by a policy discussion and Q&A session moderated by Senior Secretary Park Seung-dae, where participants discussed Jeonbuk's Physical AI development direction, key tasks in the agricultural robotics sector, and cooperation plans.

The forum was structured to review strategies proposed by universities and companies and connect them with Jeonbuk's industrial base and field demand. Participants shared technologies and policies in the fields of Physical AI and agricultural robotics, exchanging views on industry-academia-research-government cooperation directions to link capabilities across institutions.

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province State Assembly Chairman Kim Hee-soo stated, "Physical AI and agricultural robotics are new growth engines for Jeonbuk," adding, "The State Assembly will also strive to provide institutional and policy support so that technological development can lead to corporate commercialization."

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Economic Vice Governor Go Jeong-sam emphasized, "We will create a Physical AI and robotics industrial ecosystem by leveraging Jeonbuk's manufacturing foundation and strengths in the agri-bio industry, and foster Jeonbuk as a core hub of South Korea's robotics industry through industry-academia-research-government cooperation."

Meanwhile, the Jeonbuk Physical AI and Robotics Global Strategy Breakfast Forum plans to continue sharing the latest technology and industrial trends through regular thematic presentations and discussions on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month, maintaining a continuous technology and policy cooperation network centered around Jeonbuk.
