A vibrant community festival celebrating unity to be held on October 31 at the pine forest of Ham-eup Village Management Recreation Area.
Featuring resident-driven communication and harmony between newcomers and locals.

Samcheok City, alongside the Samcheok Center for Return-to-Farming & Returning-to-Rural-Life Support and the Samcheok Community Support Center, will host the “2026 Samcheok Nongsaeng Festa” on Saturday, October 31, at the Ham-eup Village Management Recreation Area to foster harmony between return-to-farming/rural migrants and local residents.

Under the theme "Return-to-Farming Migrants and Local Residents Becoming One Harmony Festival," the event is designed to share the realities of rural life, its people, and the value of community. Notably, the festival holds special significance as a "resident-led participatory festival," with both newcomers and longtime residents directly planning and operating the programs.

A diverse lineup of programs suitable for families will take place across the Ham-eup Village Management Recreation Area venue. Pre-registration is currently open for a special morning "Book Talk" event.

An official from the Samcheok Center for Return-to-Farming & Returning-to-Rural-Life Support stated, "The Nongsaeng Festa is an empathetic platform where return-to-farming migrants can establish themselves as proud members of the community and deepen their mutual understanding of each other's lives. We will continue to discover Samcheok’s unique rural cultural contents and build a sustainable local network."

For further details regarding event participation and registration, please check the official Samcheok City website or contact the Samcheok Center for Return-to-Farming & Returning-to-Rural-Life Support (☎ 033-572-7727).
