CU Unveils Self-Heating 'Boiler Ramen' in Collaboration with Kyungdong Navien

Seoul, South Korea – CU convenience stores, in partnership with boiler manufacturer Kyungdong Navien, has introduced a unique self-heating ramen product, aptly named "Boiler Ramen," designed to cater to the cravings of those seeking warmth and comfort during the cold winter months.

The innovative ramen, a first-of-its-kind in the industry, utilizes a self-heating element and a two-tiered special container to provide a convenient and hassle-free cooking experience. Unlike traditional instant noodles, Boiler Ramen requires only cold water, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor consumption, such as camping or hiking.

How it Works

The cooking process is simple. Users place the heating element in the outer container and then insert the inner container filled with noodles, soup, and water up to the designated line. Once the lid is closed, the heating element activates, and the ramen is ready to eat in just 10 minutes.

A Flavorful Collaboration

To enhance the taste experience, CU has partnered with Nongshim, selecting their popular "Budejjigae Ramen" which has consistently ranked as the top-selling product at CU's first ramen-specialized store, Ramen Library.

Winter Warmer

CU explained that the concept of Boiler Ramen was inspired by the desire to provide a comforting and warm food option during the winter months, combining the beloved Korean food, ramen, with the cozy image of a boiler.

Social Media

Campaign To celebrate the launch of Boiler Ramen, CU is running a social media campaign on its official Instagram account. Customers who leave a comment on the relevant post will have a chance to win a three-pack of Boiler Ramen or a ₩5,000 CU mobile gift certificate.
