Delegation visits Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, from the 20th to 22nd; receives award as a friendly city, among other achievements

Chungnam Province announced that it visited Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, in China for 2 days and 3 nights from the 20th to the 22nd, strengthening exchange and cooperation with Chinese local governments and broadening the horizons of Northeast Asian local diplomacy.

During this visit, the provincial delegation attended the "2026 International Sister Cities Conference" and received a friendly city citation awarded by the Sichuan Provincial Government in recognition of its active exchange achievements over the years.

In addition, the delegation observed sector-specific forums in fields such as culture and agriculture to examine advanced cases and trends while sharing the province's excellent policies and experiences.

Furthermore, the delegation met with key officials from the governments of Sichuan and Shaanxi Provinces to discuss major exchange agendas for next year and encouraged the active participation of Chinese local governments in major international events hosted within the province.

Based on this visit, Chungnam Province plans to solidify its cooperative foundation with its exchange regions in China and discover practical exchange projects across various fields.

At the same time, the province intends to materialize visiting agendas for establishing next-year’s itinerary for touring Chinese exchange regions.

A provincial official stated, "Through this visit, we were able to further solidify cooperative relations with major exchange regions in China. We will continue to strengthen the cooperation network among local governments within the Northeast Asian region and pursue mutually beneficial exchange and cooperation moving forward."
