CRDB Bank Joins Kilimanjaro Marathon as 5km Fun Run Sponsor

Moshi, Tanzania – CRDB Bank has been announced as the new sponsor of the 5km Fun Run at the 23rd Kilimanjaro Premium Lager International Marathon, set to take place on February 23, 2025.

The sponsorship will see the fun run renamed the "CRDB Bank 5km Fun Run," marking the second consecutive year of CRDB Bank's involvement in the event. Last year, the bank contributed as a supporting sponsor.

"The 5km Fun Run attracts close to 5,000 participants," said John Addison, Race Director. "CRDB Bank, as Tanzania's largest financial institution, will gain significant visibility through this sponsorship, and we anticipate a long-term partnership that will elevate the race."

Race organizers are actively seeking additional sponsors to support the event.

CRDB Bank Managing Director, Abdulmajid Nsekela, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the Kilimanjaro International Marathon's role in promoting healthy lifestyles, tourism, and economic growth in the Kilimanjaro region.

"This is an ideal platform for CRDB Bank to connect with Tanzanians in Moshi and surrounding areas," Nsekela said. "We aim to leverage this opportunity to engage customers and showcase the benefits of our products and services."

Nsekela encouraged participants to register for the 5km Fun Run, promising a memorable experience for runners, staff, clients, and guests.
