Hankook Tire to Exclusively Supply Tires for WRC Starting in 2025

Seoul, South Korea – Hankook Tire & Technology announced today that it will be the exclusive tire supplier for all classes of the World Rally Championship (WRC) for the next three years, starting from the 2025 season. The WRC, one of the world's top three motorsports events, is governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).

Unlike circuit races held on smooth, paved tracks, WRC races are renowned for their challenging terrain, traversing a variety of surfaces including asphalt, gravel, snow, and mud. Hyundai Motor Company claimed the first drivers' championship in the WRC last year. In the 2025 season, major automakers such as Hyundai, Toyota, and Ford will compete fiercely across four continents: Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia.

Hankook Tire has solidified its position as a leading tire brand in global motorsports by sponsoring two of the five FIA World Championships, including the WRC and the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the premier electric vehicle racing series. All WRC vehicles will be equipped with Hankook's cutting-edge tire technologies, including the Ventus Z215 for exceptional cornering and handling on dry and wet surfaces, the Ventus Z210 for superior grip in adverse weather conditions, and the Dynapro R213, a versatile all-round rally tire.

This exclusive partnership with the WRC marks a significant milestone for Hankook Tire, further solidifying its reputation for delivering high-performance tires that can withstand the extreme demands of rally racing.
