Puerto Princesa City, Philippines - Philippine Air Force (PAF) Commander Lt. Gen. Arthur Cordura visited key installations in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) this week, reaffirming the PAF's commitment to national defense and the well-being of its personnel.

During his two-day visit, General Cordura traveled to Antonio Bautista Air Base (ABAB) in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and Pag-asa Island. At ABAB, he outlined his strategic vision for the PAF, emphasizing mission-essential tasks and the establishment of a robust integrated air defense system. He also visited Balabac Island, a strategic location crucial for enhancing defense capabilities and regional security.

On Pag-asa Island, General Cordura inspected facilities and interacted with deployed troops, boosting their morale and emphasizing the importance of their mission in protecting Philippine sovereignty. He also distributed gifts and food packs to the island's residents.

The PAF spokesperson, Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo, stated that these visits demonstrate the PAF's dedication to ensuring the readiness and welfare of its personnel while strengthening their mission to serve the country and its people, particularly in strategically vital areas like the West Philippine Sea.
