Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea – The Chungnam Lifelong Education & Human Resource Development Agency (CLEHRD), chaired by Governor Kim Tae-heum, has announced the initiation of a new scholarship program to support the housing costs of university students residing in the Cheonan Happiness Dormitory. This initiative aims to alleviate the growing financial burden of accommodation for students who maintain continuous residency in Chungcheongnam-do without any mid-term breaks in their registration.

Through a collaborative agreement with the Korea Private School Foundation's Happiness Dormitory, the CLEHRD will provide individual students with up to 600,000 KRW in housing cost assistance. The scholarship amount will be differentiated based on the duration of residence, with students receiving 50,000 KRW per month of stay.

Hwang Hwan-taek, Director of the CLEHRD, stated, "Amidst the ever-increasing economic pressure of high living costs, particularly housing expenses, we are implementing this program to offer even a small measure of support." He further encouraged the active participation of university students in the region.

In related news, the CLEHRD is currently accepting applications for its Chungnam Love Scholarship program, which also aims to support university students in Chungcheongnam-do. Applications for the Chungnam Love Scholarship will be accepted online through the CLEHRD website (www.clehrd.or.kr) from April 1st to April 15th.

For more detailed information regarding the housing support scholarship for Cheonan Happiness Dormitory residents or the Chungnam Love Scholarship, interested individuals can visit the CLEHRD website or contact the agency directly at 041-635-1270. This new housing support initiative marks a significant step by the CLEHRD to directly address the financial challenges faced by students in the region, ensuring they can focus on their academic pursuits without undue worry about accommodation costs.
