Daejeon Department Stores Offer Festive Events Ahead of Lunar New Year

Daejeon, South Korea – As the Lunar New Year approaches, department stores in Daejeon are rolling out a variety of festive events and promotions to attract customers.

Shinsegae Art & Science is leading the charge with a diverse range of activities, including a pop-up event for the hit Netflix series "Squid Game" Season 2, a year-end clearance sale, and the launch of Lunar New Year gift sets.

The year-end clearance sale, which runs until January 19th, offers discounts of up to 70% on various items across all categories, including women's and men's fashion, sports, children's wear, and home goods. Additionally, a "season-off" sale with discounts of up to 30% will continue until the end of the season. Participating brands include Samsung Fashion Group's Lemaire, Maison Kitsuné, Biker, Ami, and Theory, as well as traditional and contemporary brands like Polo, Beanpole, and Lacoste.

A special event featuring overseas luxury brands is taking place on the 2nd floor until January 12th. Alexander Wang, Essentials, and Duvetica are offering discounts on seasonal items like cardigans, coats, and padding. From January 10th to 16th, the 4th floor Neutral Zone will host a special event featuring K2 and Eider, offering discounts of up to 70% and 60%, respectively.

A "Cosmetic Brand Day" event will be held on the 1st floor from January 10th to 12th, with brands such as Hera, Sulwhasoo, Ohui, Whoo, Sum37, Estée Lauder, Biotherm, YSL, Gucci Beauty, Nars, Byredo, Maison Margiela, Creed, and Penhaligon's offering gift certificates and free gifts.

A pop-up store for Netflix's "Squid Game" Season 2 will be open on the 6th-floor Art Terrace from January 10th to 23rd. The pop-up store will feature special events and merchandise to celebrate the upcoming season.

A fun "Catch the 4.56 Seconds" event will be held on the 2nd-floor Void from January 10th to 12th. Customers who accurately guess or come closest to guessing 4.56 seconds will receive various prizes. The first prize is a "Squid Game" character keychain, and the second prize is a ticket to the "Henri Matisse Exhibition" at Shinsegae Gallery Daejeon.

The Lunar New Year gift sets will go on sale on the B1 floor starting January 13th. This year's collection features a variety of products, including premium items and affordable options.

Galleria Time World has also launched its year-end clearance sale, offering discounts on various brands and products. The sale, which began on January 2nd and runs until January 19th, features discounts of up to 50% on brands such as Nike, Adidas, Kumkang Shoes, Tandy, CK Underwear, Renoma Shirts, Cambridge Suit, and Guho.

Additionally, the department store is offering a season-off sale with discounts of up to 30% on brands like Zara, Off-White, Kenzo, Paul Smith, Maison Kitsuné, and Biker. Traditional brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Beanpole, Tommy Hilfiger, and Lacoste have also joined the sale.
