Chungnam Governor Kim Tae-heum, dubbed the 'No. 1 Salesperson' of Chungnam Province, has embarked on a business trip to the United States to attract foreign investment and open up new overseas markets. During his visit, he actively promoted Chungnam Province in Las Vegas.

On January 8th (local time), Governor Kim attended the 2024-2025 Global Top Brand Awards held at the Wynn and Encore Hotel. Over 100 global figures participated in the event, co-hosted by the Asia Digital Group (ADG), European Digital Group (EDG), and TWICE, with sponsorship from the International Data Group (IDG).

The event featured a keynote speech, a panel discussion on the topic of "AI Reshaping Industrial Development," a greeting from Governor Kim, and an awards ceremony. Governor Kim took to the podium before the awards ceremony as an invited speaker to introduce the economic importance and industrial characteristics of Chungnam Province.

He emphasized, "Chungnam is a leading export region centered on manufacturing, with strengths in advanced industries such as semiconductors, displays, automotive parts, and secondary batteries, as well as consumer goods industries like cosmetics. Over 330,000 companies are located in the province, achieving export values of $100 billion and ranking first in terms of trade surplus."

Governor Kim particularly highlighted Chungnam's status as a "mecca for the display and semiconductor industries," serving as the "capital of the world's advanced digital industry." He explained the Asan and Cheonan display clusters, stating, "These clusters serve as hubs for both R&D and production, accounting for over 20% of global production."
