[Global Economic Times] Gimhae City Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 15th that it had developed craft beer using barley harvested from the nostalgic green barley field created in the area of Joman River Ecological Sports Park.

These are two types of lager beer, which is the most popular among the public for its light body and strong carbonation, which is very refreshing, and ale beer, which has a large fan base for its heavy body and diverse aromas, made by fermenting malt for a short period of time at room temperature.

The names of the two types of craft beer are ‘Tobeer’, which is inspired by Gimhae City’s character Todeogi, and the products are designed in a cute and cute way.

The green barley field of Jo Man-kang's memories, which is the raw material for Tobeer, began to be created in an area of 30,000 m2 in 2020 to provide citizens with a healing space with beautiful scenery.

In particular, this year, in celebration of the Visit Gimhae Year, the ‘1st Jo Man-gang Memories of Scarecrow Green Barley Festival’ was held here from May 3rd to 5th with the theme of recalling retro emotions with laughter and humor.

An official at the Gimhae City Agricultural Technology Center said, “Tobeer is not for commercial use, but as a first step toward promoting the city administration and producing Tobeer craft beer goods, we plan to monitor the response from all walks of life to specify future steps.”
