[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  Actor Ron Ely, who thrilled the world with his role as Tarzan, the king of the jungle in the 1960s, passed away at the age of 86 on the 29th of last month. His daughter Kirsten Ellie shared the news of her father's death on social media, and many fans expressed their condolences.

Ron Ely became very popular for his role as Tarzan in TV series and movies from the 1960s to the 1970s. Tarzan, who was a character who only used his power in silence in the past series, was reborn as an intelligent and attractive person, and he contributed greatly to creating the typical image of Tarzan that was solidified through Disney animation.

In particular, with his sturdy physique of 193 cm and excellent athletic ability, he performed all the actions himself and rarely used stunt actors. He did not give in to dangerous filming, including being bitten by a lion, and showed himself as a true action actor.

After retiring from the entertainment industry in 2001, he continued his active career by writing mystery novels and appearing in a TV movie in 2014. However, in 2019, I was deeply saddened by the tragic incident in which my son murdered his mother.

Ron Ely's daughter Kirsten mourned her father, calling him "the man people called a hero." He was proud of his father, who perfectly played many roles, including actor, writer, coach, mentor, and head of the household.

Ron Ely was more than just an actor, he was an icon loved throughout time. May Ron Ely, who will be remembered as Tarzan, the king of the jungle, rest in peace.
