Ford has announced the release of two new supercharged V8 crate engines designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance engine swaps. The new offerings include the Megazilla 2.0, a supercharged 7.3L V8, and the all-new supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8.
Both engines come with an intuitive control pack harness and utilize Ford Performance parts, making installation straightforward while ensuring proven performance and versatility.
The Megazilla 2.0 builds upon its predecessor with upgraded components such as forged pistons, connecting rods, a steel crankshaft, ported and polished cylinder heads, and enhanced valve springs. It now features a 6th generation 3.0L Whipple supercharger, boosting its output to over 1000 horsepower. This engine is intended for off-road racing applications only.
The all-new supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8 is a street-legal engine derived from the Mustang Dark Horse's 5.0L Coyote engine. It boasts a 3.0L supercharger and a recalibrated powertrain control module, generating over 800 horsepower and 615 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is suitable for both drag racing and track events.
The Coyote engine also comes with a 24,000-mile limited warranty for added peace of mind.
Both the Coyote and Megazilla 2.0 engines will be available for order in North America starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.
