Organizing Committee reveals 'Harmony of Nature, People, and Healing' as core identity and value

The official symbol (Event Identity, EI) and slogan representing the identity of the 2026 Taean International Horticultural Therapy Expo have been unveiled.

The Taean International Horticultural Therapy Expo Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) announced the final selection of the expo's symbol and slogan on March 28th.

As the world's first expo centered on the theme of 'horticultural therapy,' the Organizing Committee has been developing the symbol and slogan since December of last year to effectively convey its unique identity.

The design was refined through a process involving employee preference surveys, online public preference surveys, and consultations with design experts. The final versions were confirmed through deliberation on March 21st.

The finally selected expo logo visually embodies the expo's identity of 'harmony of nature, people, and healing' by depicting the blue mountains blending with Taean's sea, the Rosa rugosa flowers blooming at Kkotji Beach, the clean and clear waves of Taean, and the vitality of sprouts emerging from the soil.

The official slogan, developed in conjunction with the logo, is "A Time of Healing Blooming Like Flowers." This slogan encapsulates the meaning that healing through horticulture permeates our lives like blossoming flowers, bringing health and happiness. It also reflects the expo's vision to further spread the value of healing.

Oh Jin-gi, Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee, stated, "The representative symbol and slogan selected this time underwent extensive review and opinion gathering processes to capture the core values of the expo. We will utilize the symbol and slogan to enhance the expo's brand value and strengthen domestic and international promotion, thereby diligently preparing for the expo."

Meanwhile, the 2026 Taean International Horticultural Therapy Expo, co-hosted by the province and Taean County under the theme "Healthy Future Found in Nature: Horticulture & Healing," will be held for a month from April 25th to May 24th next year. The organizers anticipate 1.82 million visitors from 40 countries.
