Daejeon, South Korea – Daejeon University of Science and Technology’s Department of Sports Health Management announced on January 16th the successful completion of its industry-academia-research linkage winter sports specialized training program focused on smart healthcare.
The training program, part of the third phase of the Leading University for Industry-Academic Cooperation (LINC 3.0) project, was designed to enhance the practical skills of all second-year students in the department. The curriculum emphasized understanding the characteristics of winter sports and developing practical abilities.
Students learned skiing and snowboarding techniques, as well as the theories necessary for training methods and performance improvement. They also received sports health management and safety training to enhance their emergency response capabilities in real-world settings.
Particularly noteworthy was the participation of Kang Yeon-jae, CEO of Parangsae Sports Center, a partner company. Kang delivered a lecture and demonstration on youth sports coaching, emphasizing the importance of youth sports participation and providing practical advice on various coaching methods that can be applied in the field.
Daejeon University of Science and Technology’s Department of Sports Health Management is continuously striving to enhance students' practical abilities and contribute to the development of the local community and the sports industry through industry-academia-research linkage education.
