IPO Market This Week: A Summary

This week, several companies are set to launch their Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and begin general share subscriptions. Meanwhile, some Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) are scheduled to be newly listed on the KOSDAQ market.

Companies conducting general share subscriptions from December 9th to 10th:

Onconics Therapeutics: A company specializing in the research and development of innovative new drugs for acid-induced gastrointestinal diseases and anti-cancer treatments. It focuses on developing small-molecule-based new drugs that can provide affordable new treatments for patients suffering from diseases. The company has strong technological expertise and R&D capabilities in the fields of major gastrointestinal diseases and synthetic lethal anti-cancer. NH Investment & Securities is the lead underwriter.Expected IPO price: Below the lower end of the hoped-for range at 13,000 won.
Total public offering: 20.2 billion won.
Oncocross: The company has developed and operates RAPTOR AI, which analyzes changes in gene expression data (transcriptome) caused by drug administration or disease occurrence using artificial intelligence. It uses this to screen for optimal indications or combination drugs for drugs and to explore promising therapeutic drugs and targets in diseases. Mirae Asset Securities is the lead underwriter.Expected IPO price: Below the lower end of the hoped-for range at 7,300 won.
Total public offering: 10.4 billion won.


Companies conducting general share subscriptions from December 10th to 11th:

IST: A specialized company that develops and mass-produces semiconductor equipment. It sells semiconductor components, mainly FOUP Cleaners, and has secured various global customers such as SK hynix, Samsung Electronics, SK Siltron, and Soitec. The company has successfully developed a plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) device, a core semiconductor process equipment. In 2021, it successfully developed a silicon carbon nitride (SiCN) PECVD device. Selected as a technology innovation company by SK hynix, a global leader in HBM, it has completed a qualification test for the supply of SiCN PECVD equipment and is currently in the mass production verification stage. KB Securities is the lead underwriter.Expected IPO price range: 9,700 to 11,400 won. Total public offering: 18.2 billion won (based on the upper end of the expected price range).


Newly listed companies on December 11th:

Kiwoom 11th SPAC: Aims to merge with companies in industries with future growth potential, such as electronics, communications, software, services, automobiles, materials, bio/medical, energy, and others.
Companies conducting general share subscriptions from December 11th to 12th:

DuChemBio: A company specializing in the development, manufacturing, and sale of radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and brain diseases. The company manufactures pharmaceuticals used in medical imaging examinations (positron emission tomography, PET). The core technology business is the development and commercialization of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. NH Investment & Securities is the lead underwriter.Expected IPO price range: 12,300 to 14,100 won. Total public offering: Approximately 20.2 billion won (based on the upper end of the expected price range).
Shinhan 14th SPAC: Aims to merge with companies engaged in businesses such as electronics, communications, software services, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, secondary batteries, games, entertainment, mobile industries, renewable energy, automotive parts, new materials, nanofusion, high-value-added food industries, entertainment, automotive parts manufacturing, IT/semiconductors, software/games/mobile industries, and other industries with future growth potential.
Kiwoom 10th SPAC: Aims to merge with companies in industries with future growth potential, such as electronics, communications, software, services, automobiles, materials, bio/medical, energy, and others.


Newly listed company on December 12th:

KB 31st SPAC: Aims to merge with companies engaged in businesses such as renewable energy, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, IT convergence systems, LED applications, green transportation systems, carbon reduction energy, advanced water treatment, smart green cities, broadcasting and communications convergence industries, robot applications, new materials/nanofusion, high-value-added food industries, entertainment, automotive parts manufacturing, IT/semiconductors, software/games/mobile industries, and other industries with future growth potential.


Companies conducting general share subscriptions from December 13th to 16th:

ThreeA Logics: The only domestic near-field communication (NFC) chip design company in Korea. Since its founding in 2004, the company has been leading the localization of system semiconductors for near-field communication based on semiconductor design technology. In 2006, it succeeded in localizing the 13.56MHz band RFID reader chip for the first time in Korea and has since mass-produced NFC reader chips. Recently, it has commercialized NFC dynamic tag chips, expanding the range of NFC chip products. Mirae Asset Securities and Shinhan Investment & Securities are the lead underwriters.Expected IPO price range: 15,700 to 18,200 won. Total public offering: 338 billion won (based on the upper end of the expected price range).
