ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay – The Paraguayan-German Cultural Institute (ICPA-GZ) is set to host an enriching theater workshop led by the acclaimed director, playwright, and educator Juan Bürgin. Commencing on April 7th, the workshop offers a unique opportunity for both seasoned performers and enthusiastic newcomers to delve into the art of theatrical expression. The monthly participation fee for this immersive experience is set at 250,000 Guaraníes.

The workshop's inclusive design welcomes a diverse range of individuals, extending beyond actors and theater students to encompass members of the general public with an interest in acting, as well as professionals in the fields of coaching and therapy who may find theatrical techniques beneficial in their practice. Participants can anticipate engaging sessions focused on foundational techniques essential for navigating the world of theater arts. Moreover, the workshop will serve as a valuable platform for experienced actors to hone their skills and explore new dimensions in their craft.

Classes are scheduled to take place every Monday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the ICPA-GZ facilities. This consistent schedule provides a structured environment for learning and artistic growth.

Juan Bürgin brings a wealth of international experience and expertise to Asunción. A graduate of the prestigious Buenos Aires National School of Dramatic Arts and the legendary Actors Studio in Los Angeles, Bürgin has established himself as a significant figure in the European theater landscape. Notably, he founded the first theater school in Nuremberg, Germany, and has since conducted numerous workshops across Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and the Netherlands, sharing his insights and methodologies with a broad spectrum of aspiring and established artists.

His connection to the Paraguayan theater scene was further solidified in 2024 with his direction of the play "Therapy, a Fantastic Exercise" in Asunción. The production garnered attention and was recently showcased at the theater festival organized by the Paraguayan Theater Center (CEPATE), underscoring Bürgin's commitment to fostering theatrical talent in the region.

Interested individuals are encouraged to register for the workshop and obtain further details by contacting the ICPA-GZ via WhatsApp at (0983) 307150 or by telephone at (021) 224455. All workshop sessions will be held at the Paraguayan-German Cultural Institute (ICPA-GZ), conveniently located at Juan de Salazar 310, corner of Artigas, in Asunción. This initiative promises to be a valuable contribution to the local arts scene, providing a platform for artistic exploration and skill development under the guidance of an internationally recognized theater professional.
