Course Enhancements:Installation of a state-of-the-art irrigation system by Rain Bird, replacing the existing 30-year-old system.
Optimization of regional gray water for irrigation, aligning with environmental sustainability.
Laser leveling of all tee boxes for improved playing conditions.
Reshaping and re-sanding of bunkers for enhanced playability.
Expansion of on-course lakes to increase habitat for birds and flora.
New Golf Cart Fleet: A brand new fleet of Club Car golf carts, including a beverage cart, will be introduced in February 2025, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all golfers.

Partnerships and Vision:

Troon, a leading golf hospitality management company, is overseeing the course renovation and management operations.
Highgate Portugal, the resort owner, is spearheading the overall revitalization of Salgados, including enhancements to its three hotels and a world-class conference center.
Marriott and Westin brands have been appointed to manage the on-site hotels.

Quotes:

Simon Doyle, Vice President of Agronomy at Troon: "The renovation will enhance the playing experience while also preserving the natural beauty of the landscape."
Sérgio Leandro, COO Highgate Portugal: "This investment marks a new chapter for Salgados, solidifying its position as a premier golf destination in the Algarve."
Ricardo Catarino, Troon Senior Vice President: "We are confident that this project will elevate the Salgados experience for golfers and visitors alike."
