Kim Ga-young, a weathercaster for MBC, has announced her departure from the SBS entertainment program "Goal-hitting Women."   

An official from SBS stated on the 22nd that Kim Ga-young expressed her intention to step down from the team and the program, as she felt she could no longer be of help. The production team accepted her decision.

Kim Ga-young has been embroiled in controversy following allegations that she was a 'perpetrator of bullying' against the late Oh Yo-anna, a fellow MBC weathercaster who passed away on September 28th of last year.   

The news of Oh Yo-anna's death was belatedly revealed on December 10th. Subsequently, on January 27th of this year, a media outlet reported on the contents of the deceased's suicide note, which claimed that she had been bullied by two fellow weathercasters.

Then, on January 31st, the YouTube channel "Garo Sero Institute" alleged, citing the bereaved family, that Kim Ga-young was one of the individuals who had secretly tormented the victims of workplace bullying behind the scenes.

In response, MBC announced on January 31st that it would form a fact-finding committee, chaired by an external expert, to investigate the cause of Oh Yo-anna's death and uncover the truth. The committee was officially launched on the 3rd of February and held its first meeting on the 5th.   

Amidst these developments, Kim Ga-young also stepped down from her position on MBC FM4U's "Good Morning FM with Tei." Furthermore, the city of Paju revoked her status as a public relations ambassador on the 6th.
