Seoul, South Korea – Sonabus, a startup specializing in senior products, announced today the successful development of its high-quality mobility aid for the elderly, the 'Manbo Walker.' The device is set to launch in June.

The Manbo Walker is a hybrid mobility aid that combines both electric and non-electric functions. Equipped with a micro-motor, it provides gentle propulsion and braking assistance, ensuring safe and comfortable mobility on various terrains. The walker automatically adjusts its power output to assist users on uphill climbs and provide braking support on downhill slopes.

To enhance safety, the Manbo Walker is equipped with a host of features, including an emergency stop function, a fall detection alarm, and GPS-based location tracking. Additionally, the device boasts an ergonomic design that addresses the shortcomings of traditional walkers, offering a more stylish and comfortable experience for users.

Sonabus has garnered recognition for its technological advancements, having been selected for various government-backed programs such as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Youth Startup Incubator and the Ministry of Science and ICT's Research and Development Promotion Program. The company plans to introduce an electric version of the Manbo Walker in April 2026, followed by a smart walker integrated with a health management platform in 2027.
