RIYADH – Saudia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier, is cementing its role as a pivotal force in realizing the ambitious goals of Vision 2030, demonstrating significant progress throughout 2024. The airline's strategic initiatives, encompassing network expansion, robust partnerships, and enhanced customer experiences, underscore its commitment to transforming the Kingdom's aviation sector and bolstering its global connectivity.

In alignment with Vision 2030's objectives to attract 330 million travelers, facilitate 150 million visits, and accommodate 30 million pilgrims annually, Saudia has strategically expanded its international footprint. This year has witnessed the launch of key routes designed to enhance both leisure and business travel. The inauguration of flights to Medan, Indonesia, and Phuket, Thailand, reflects Saudia's focus on catering to growing travel demands and strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the new Dammam-Beijing route establishes Dammam as a crucial gateway to China, significantly boosting passenger traffic at King Fahd International Airport by 16.2% compared to the prior year. This route also assists in the increase of business and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Saudia's strategic alliance strategy has been a cornerstone of its 2024 growth. The airline has forged significant codeshare agreements with leading global carriers, including AEGEAN Airlines, Kenya Airways, Virgin Atlantic, ITA Airways, and Delta Airlines. These partnerships not only expand Saudia's global reach but also provide passengers with seamless travel experiences, enhanced connectivity, and access to a wider range of destinations. The reciprocal benefits of these alliances, particularly within loyalty programs, underscore Saudia's dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

Recognizing the importance of customer loyalty, Saudia has significantly enhanced its AlFursan Loyalty Program. By forging partnerships with a diverse range of global service providers, including financial institutions, hospitality groups, and retail businesses, Saudia has expanded the program's benefits, allowing members to accumulate reward miles and enjoy exclusive privileges. This initiative reinforces Saudia's commitment to rewarding its most loyal customers with unparalleled travel experiences.

Saudia's commitment to excellence has been recognized with numerous accolades in 2024. The airline was honored with the "World's Most Improved Airline 2024" award by Skytrax, a testament to its continuous efforts to enhance its services and operations. Additionally, Saudia received the "World Class Airline 2024" award for the third consecutive year at The APEX Official Airline Ratings™, further solidifying its position as a leading global carrier. Cirium also ranked Saudia among the top global airlines for on-time performance (OTP), highlighting its operational efficiency and reliability.

Saudia's investment in a modern fleet, coupled with its strategic network expansion and customer-centric approach, positions it as a key driver of Saudi Arabia's aviation ambitions. As the Kingdom continues to pursue its Vision 2030 goals, Saudia's contributions to enhancing global connectivity and fostering economic growth will be instrumental in realizing these objectives.

About Saudia:

Established in 1945, Saudia is the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With a modern fleet and a network spanning approximately 100 destinations across four continents, including all 28 domestic airports in Saudi Arabia, Saudia plays a vital role in connecting the Kingdom to the world. A member of IATA, AACO, and SkyTeam, Saudia is committed to providing world-class travel experiences and contributing to the Kingdom's economic development.
