The commemorative event for the proclamation ceremony of the "2025-2026 Cheonan Year of Visiting," which was scheduled to be held on April 4th at the Wonseongcheon promenade, has been canceled.

On the 1st, Cheonan City announced that it has canceled the proclamation ceremony commemorative event and will replace it with an online broadcast of the tourism vision video, in sympathy with the damage to residents in regions nationwide, including Gyeongbuk, due to the recent large-scale wildfires, and in consideration of the wildfire disaster crisis situation.

The vision video, which will be broadcast through Cheonan City's official online channels, contains the vision and values of the city as a tourism city that Cheonan aims for in the "Year of Visiting Cheonan," as well as the future of tourism that the city is preparing.

The night circulation tour bus "Starlight Tour," which was planned to be promoted in conjunction with the Cheonan Year of Visiting proclamation ceremony, will operate as scheduled.

The night circulation tour bus "Starlight Tour" is a name combining "Starlight," meaning night, and "Hanbakwi," meaning a circular bus. For two days, from April 4th to 5th, it will circulate every 20 minutes from 5 PM to 1 AM the next day, starting from the Cheonan Citizen's Bell, passing through Cheonan's representative night views and downtown attractions. With the purchase of the initial single ride ticket, free boarding and alighting are possible.

The operating course is: ▲Cheonan Citizen's Bell ▲Cheonan Town Hall ▲Wonseongcheon Cherry Blossom Road ▲Taejosan Park ▲Anseodong University Area ▲Cheonhoji Lake ▲General Bus Terminal ▲Cheonan Citizen's Bell.

Cheonan City plans to actively promote the expansion of tourism infrastructure, diversification of content, and promotional activities in connection with South Chungcheong Province's policy project, the "2025-2026 South Chungcheong Province Year of Visiting," along with the online broadcast of this tourism vision video.

Cheonan Mayor Park Sang-don stated, "Due to the serious situation, Cheonan's tourism vision will be conveyed through a video instead of a proclamation ceremony event. We extend our deepest condolences to the regions and residents who have suffered great damage from the wildfires that have occurred throughout the country."
