Jeonju, South Korea – Ha Song, a teacher, poet, and children's book author, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Korea Yaein Literature Award.
Ha Song has been a dedicated elementary school teacher, guiding students in their writing and serving as a 'Meet the Author' lecturer at various schools. He is known for his commitment to children's emotional development and character education.
Beyond his teaching career, Ha Song has made significant contributions to the literary world. He has published numerous books, including collections of children's poems, fairy tales, and songs, as well as practical guides. He generously donates his books to libraries and students across the country.
Recently, he conducted a series of five picture book classes for students at Yongseong Elementary School in Namwon.
Ha Song's literary talent has been recognized through various awards, including the Yoon Dong-joo Literature Award, the Korea Literature Newspaper Grand Prize, the Rural Literature Award, and the Korean Wave Arts Award. His works have also been selected for the Seoul Subway Screen Door Poetry Contest.
He is actively involved in the literary community, serving as an editorial member of the Jeonbuk Writers' Association, planning director of the Midang Literary Society, vice president of the Jeonbuk Children's Literature Association, and education department reporter for the World Green Media Group Naeoe Maeil Newspaper.
The 2024 Korea Yaein Literature Award is a testament to Ha Song's dedication to literature and his contributions to enriching the lives of children through his writing and teaching.
