‘Complex shopping mall + dome stadium’ Incheon Starfield Cheongna, 21,000 seats confirmed... Construction permit completed

[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 29th that it approved a change in the building permit for ‘Starfield Cheongna’, which will be built in the Cheongna-dong area of ​​Seo-gu.

With this change in building permit, the construction of a 21,000-seat multi-stadium (dome stadium) at Starfield Cheongna has been confirmed. However, with the introduction of the dome stadium, the hotel size was reduced from 296 rooms to 55 rooms.

Starfield Cheongna is a complex entertainment facility that combines a large shopping mall and a dome stadium. It is scheduled to be built with a total floor area of ​​510,000 m2, 3 underground floors, and 9 above-ground floors. The target completion date is December 2027.

The dome stadium will be used as a multiplex space where you can enjoy professional baseball games and K-pop performances, and you will be able to enjoy baseball games and various entertainment at specialized hotel rooms, an infinity pool, and food and beverage stores and restaurants in Starfield.

An official from the Incheon Economic Office said, “The structural safety review according to the change in building permit has also been passed, and all administrative procedures required for construction have been completed.” He added, “It is expected that full-scale construction will begin.”

Starfield Cheongna is scheduled to be built on a 154,540 ㎡ site in the area of ​​6-14, Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, with a total floor area of ​​512,990 ㎡, with 3 underground levels and 9 above-ground floors. Construction began in April 2018 and is currently at a completion rate of 8%, including civil engineering work. The goal is for completion in 2027.
