Netflix has released the highly anticipated trailer for its hit series, Squid Game, season 2. The 1 minute and 52-second clip, released on the streaming giant’s official social media channels, offers a glimpse into the new challenges and twists that await the returning and new players.
The trailer opens with the protagonist, Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who won the first season but returns to the deadly games, this time with a vengeance. Clad in the iconic green tracksuit and bearing his number 456, Gi-hun is determined to expose the sinister forces behind the games.
A notable new rule introduced in season 2 is the ability for players to vote to end the games after each round. However, as the trailer suggests, this may not be as straightforward as it seems. The iconic "Red Light, Green Light" game makes a return, but this time, Gi-hun attempts to convince the other players to quit, only to face suspicion and mistrust.
In addition to familiar faces like the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), the trailer introduces a host of new characters played by Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P), Choi Yu-ri, and No Jae-won, who are set to join the deadly games.
Squid Game season 2 is scheduled for release on December 26th, while season 3 is expected to follow sometime next year. The trailer has already generated significant buzz among fans, who are eager to see how the story unfolds and what new challenges the players will face.
