INCHEON – The Incheon Modern Literature Museum has launched a program called 'Shinbaram Neighborhood Bookstore Book Talk' to support author meet-and-greet events at local bookstores. The program aims to promote reading culture and provide opportunities for citizens to engage with authors.
Local bookstores in Incheon can apply to participate in the program and host book talks with authors of their choice. The museum will provide financial support of up to 800,000 won per event, covering expenses such as author fees and event promotion.
Each bookstore can apply for 1 to 3 events between March and September. If a bookstore hosts more than one event, at least one event must feature an author from Incheon. Participating bookstores are also required to take part in the 'Shinbaram Neighborhood Bookstore Festival' later this year.
The museum hopes that this program will encourage more people to visit local bookstores and foster a love of reading. "We believe that by working together with local bookstores, we can create a vibrant literary community in Incheon," said a museum representative.
Applications for the program are open until February 24th. Bookstores can submit their applications via email to the Incheon Modern Literature Museum. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of the month.
