Santiago, Chile – Chilean author Paulina Jara Straussmann has released her latest poetry collection, "Latidos de mi nostalgia" (Heartbeat of My Nostalgia), a heartwarming exploration of childhood memories. The book, filled with beautiful poetry and illustrations, offers readers a nostalgic journey through the author's early years.

Set in the author's hometown of Osorno, "Heartbeat of My Nostalgia" is a nostalgic ode to a simpler time. Straussmann paints vivid pictures of her childhood, from the joy of homemade jams and freshly baked bread to the soothing sound of rain. The accompanying illustrations by Alexis Segovia add depth and warmth to the poems, enhancing the overall reading experience.

Unlike her previous works, this collection features a more free-flowing style, with a focus on rhythm and imagery. Straussmann has revealed that she used poetry as a way to heal from the pain of her parents' divorce, adding a layer of depth and authenticity to her work. She hopes that by sharing her personal experiences, she can offer comfort and understanding to others who have faced similar challenges.

Paulina Jara Straussmann is a Chilean author and teacher from Osorno. She began writing at a young age and has since published works across various genres. She is particularly known for her children's books and is a prominent figure in Chilean children's literature.

With "Heartbeat of My Nostalgia," Straussmann aims to transport readers back to their own happy childhood memories and offer a sense of comfort. She hopes that the book will spark imagination in children and help adults reconnect with their inner child.
