Flea market with local creators... Operation of citizen-participatory cultural experience programs

The Busan Tourism Organization (President Lee Jeong-sil, hereinafter referred to as the "Organization") announced on the 17th that it will host the cultural experience program "Frequency 0919: MOONLIGHT" from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, at the outdoor plaza in front of the main building of the Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum, for citizens and old downtown tourists to enjoy together.

This event was prepared ahead of Chuseok so that citizens can experience our traditional culture easily and joyfully. It will be operated as a participatory cultural event that families, friends, and tourists can enjoy together by combining traditional play experiences with a flea market featuring local creators.

In particular, this event is characterized by being composed of unique traditional experience programs that combine game elements such as dice, arithmetic, missions, and team battles, moving away from simple traditional play experience methods.

The "Large Jegichagi," starting at 2:00 PM, is operated in a way that participants roll a large die, combine the resulting numbers and arithmetic symbols to determine the number of Jegichagi counts, and challenge the mission.

At 3:00 PM, "Tuho Throwing" will take place. It is a program where participants determine the number of mission attempts through dice and arithmetic, and then challenge spinning around with an elephant trunk and throwing Tuho, aiming to increase participants' interest by adding physical activity and game elements to traditional play.

At 4:00 PM, a "Large Yutnori" in which up to 4 teams can participate together will unfold. Participants form teams, throw large Yut sticks, and compete to finish two tokens first. It will be operated as a team-competition program that families and friends can join and enjoy together.

Along with this, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, a flea market featuring local creators and small-scale brands will be operated. Various attractions are planned to be prepared, including handcrafted products such as handmade accessories, candles, and leather crafts, as well as design goods like illustrations, stickers, and postcards, along with experience contents such as tarot and face painting, and food.

In particular, the flea market is prepared as a venue where local creators can directly meet and interact with citizens through their participation. Through this, the organization plans to support the activities of local cultural artists while vitalizing the history museum's outdoor plaza into a cultural space where citizens can naturally stay and enjoy.

An official from the Busan Tourism Organization said, "This event was prepared so that citizens can joyfully experience our traditional play together with family and friends for Chuseok," adding, "We expect that citizens and old downtown tourists who visit the history museum will be able to spend a special day enjoying traditional culture experiences and the flea market."
