Asunción, Paraguay - A tragic incident involving an unauthorized cosmetic surgery procedure has sparked outrage in Paraguay after a 66-year-old Argentinian woman died following a liposuction procedure at a dental clinic owned by Rebecca Zaputovich.
The incident has raised serious concerns about the lack of regulation in the country's cosmetic surgery industry. Investigations revealed that Zaputovich's clinic was not authorized to perform such procedures. The victim is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest due to complications from the anesthesia administered during the liposuction.
Following the woman's death, it was discovered that Zaputovich's clinic had been providing cosmetic procedures to numerous celebrities and public figures. Zaputovich had been promoting various aesthetic treatments on her Instagram account, and celebrities such as Patricia Vargas, Amparo Velázquez, Elena de Troya Aguilar, Jessica Servín, and Nicole Sauti have publicly stated that they had undergone procedures at her clinic.
Nicole Sauti took to her Instagram stories to express her gratitude for the concern shown by her followers and confirmed that she is safe.
In response to the incident, Paraguay's health authorities have launched an investigation into Zaputovich's clinic. The health regulatory agency is examining whether the clinic meets the required legal and facility standards and has temporarily suspended its operations.
This case has highlighted the dangers of unauthorized medical procedures and underscores the importance of seeking treatment from qualified medical professionals at licensed facilities.
