Cheonan, South Korea – The Seocheonan Rotary Club has donated 400 liters of heating oil to a vulnerable household in Cheongryong-dong to help them stay warm this winter. The donation was made on December 26th, as part of the club’s efforts to support the community during the cold winter months.
Club members personally delivered the heating oil to the recipient's home and checked in on their well-being. The recipient expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the Seocheonan Rotary Club, I no longer have to worry about heating costs this winter. I'm so relieved that I can stay warm and healthy."
Joo Moon-jong, president of the Seocheonan Rotary Club, said, "We hope that this donation will alleviate some of the financial burden for those struggling to afford heating during these cold winter months. We will continue to work with the local community to provide various volunteer services for those in need."
Ko Hye-kyung, the head of Cheongryong-dong, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Seocheonan Rotary Club for their ongoing efforts to help those in need. She said, "We will continue to work together with the public sector to minimize the number of people who fall through the cracks."
Joo Moon-jong, who is also a member of the Cheongryong-dong Sports Association and Happy Neighbors Support Center, has been actively involved in various volunteer activities, such as improving the living environment for vulnerable households and providing necessary items.
