Hanbat Library to Host "Harmonious Gathering" Filled with Exhibitions, Hands-on Activities, and Performances

Hanbat Library is set to host a vibrant "Harmonious Gathering" (Oulim Madang) throughout the month of November.

Serving as a celebratory venue to share the fruits of learning and achievements accumulated throughout the year through exhibitions and performances, this event will feature participants and club members from the library's cultural school and lifestyle culture center courses.

The exhibition will take place from November 7 to November 29 in the 1st-floor exhibition hall of Hanbat Library. Visitors can admire a wide array of works presented by various clubs and course attendees, including French embroidery, calligraphy, caricatures, oil pastel art, and botanical art.

The performances are scheduled for November 21 in the multi-purpose hall on the B1 level, featuring puppet shows, line dancing, haegeum (traditional Korean string instrument) performances, guitar and ukulele recitals, and more.

A variety of hands-on activities will also be available. On November 21, in the 1st-floor lobby, club members will operate diverse experience booths, including "GOLD Ggaebi's Moving Picture Book Pop-up," "Meeting Calligraphy with Da-geurim," "Live Caricatures," and "Making My Own Rabbit Piggy Bank."

Kim Hye-jung, Director of Hanbat Library in Daejeon, stated, "Through this Harmonious Gathering, we hope participants and citizens can share cultural and arts activities together and engage in meaningful communication. We will continue our efforts to ensure that the library establishes itself as a complex cultural space where people can enjoy and exchange diverse cultural and artistic activities beyond just reading."
