[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  The Korea Home Builders Association and Korea Land Information Corporation (LX) announced that they signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)’ for the digital transformation of the housing construction industry at 10 am on the 29th at the Housing Construction Center in Yeouido.

The purpose of this agreement is to increase efficiency at construction sites, strengthen safety, and improve the quality of people's housing by combining LX's cadastral surveying and spatial information technology with the housing construction know-how of the Korea Housing Construction Association.

Accordingly, LX supports association member companies with cutting-edge cadastral surveying, introduction of spatial information technology, and digital twin/BIM, contributing to shortening project periods, reducing costs, and preventing safety accidents. In addition, we plan to support the strengthening of construction technology capabilities by providing training programs related to cadastral and spatial information to association member companies.

Ultimately, it is expected that it will lead the advancement of the housing industry by sharing policy and technical information related to housing construction and efficient promotion of projects, as well as contributing to improving housing quality.

Jeong Won-joo, Chairman of the Korea Home Construction Association, said, “We will actively strive to advance the advancement of the housing construction field by accelerating the digitalization of the housing construction business through this business agreement with LX, the best public corporation in the cadastral field.”

LX President Eo Myung-so said, “With today’s agreement as an opportunity, we will actively support the creation of a safe and smart construction environment by introducing precise cadastral surveying and cutting-edge spatial information technology to construction sites.”
